22nd Birthday Wish..

HISTORY OF GURUDWARA HEMKUNT SAHIB JI 

Blessed disciple of Guru ji, SHRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI tells us in his autobiography “BACHITAR NATAK” that Shri Hemkunt Sahib is a holy place where SHRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI had worshipped Almighty God as a DUSHAT DAMAN in his previous birth. 

AB MAIN APNI KATHA BAKHANO, TAP SADHAT JIH BID MOHE AANO || 
HEMKUNT PARBAT HAI JAHA, SAPT SRING SOBHIT HAI TAHA || 
TEH HUM ADIK TAPASAYA SADHI, MAHA KAAL KALIKA ARADHI || 

DESCRIPTION: The Guru Ji tells us about his previous incarnation that Hemkunt Sahib is a place in the Himalaya range, where there is glorifying ice covered Sapt Sring Mountain, on that hill he meditated the name of God. 

IH BID KARAT TAPPSAYA BHAYO, DAVAI TE EK ROOP HO GAYO|| 

DESCRITOIN: He states that before he came into this world, as a free spirit he was engaged in the meditation in the seven peaks of Hemkunt Sahib Mountain. In his meditation he became one with God. 

TAAT MAAT MUR ALAKH ARAADHA, BAHU BEED JOG SADHNA SADHA|| 

DESCRITPTION: My father SHRI TEG BAHDUR JI and MATA GUJRI JI meditated and devoted service in the love of God on the native land. 

TIN JO KAREE ALAKH KEE SEWA, TAA TAY BHAAY PRASANNI GURDEVA|| 

DESCRIPTION: Almighty God pleased with their worship and asked them to make a wish. Then my parents said to be blessed with a son. Bust he should be the one who was their son in their previous birth. Then Almighty God commanded me to take human form in this world. I didn’t like to come. God sent me into the world with a mandate saying: “I cherish thee as my son and send thee to establish the path of truth. Go into the world and establish virtue and keep the people away from evil.” 

MAI APNA SUT TOHE NIWAJA, PANTH PRACHAR KEHBEE KAO MAJA|| 

Thus with the command of Akaal Purakh Guru Ji had taken birth to spread spirit of both sainthood and soldier.

Don't sabotage yourself.

Often our biggest obstacle in life is simply ourselves. Our mind can use it's creative powers to give us plenty to worry & fear. Those worries & fears can serve to prevent us from moving forward in life. 

In our need to avoid suffering, we'll tend to stick to the comfortable things, whether they're in our best interest or not. This is particularly common in relationships. The transition of letting people go, and attempting to seek out new people can be very daunting. We can easily decide to avoid any those activities, and just stick with what we have, because after all it's what's we know & are used to (comfort). 

If you know what you want from life, don't let anyone tell you that it can't be obtain, especially if the one telling you is yourself. We only allow others to speak to us a certain way, if it matches with the thoughts & feelings we already have.

Don't let others put you down, and DEFINITELY do not put yourself down. It's a pointless act; if you recognize something in yourself you feel needs improvement, don't wallow in self-pity, improve it.

As always, this is easier said than done, I'm not here to sell you easy, I'm here to remind you what you always knew needed to be done, and I'm just letting you know it's worth the effort, you're worth the effort.

The moment you realize that you're thoughts have such a dramatic impact on your mood, being, and ability to function, is the same moment you can begin to shift those thoughts to improve things.

In Sikh Pholosophy Baba Nanak writes 'Man Jeetay, Jag Jeet' --> "Conquered Mind, Conquered World"

It's amazing how well we function in the outside world, when we're control of our inside world.

Power VS Power

There once was a great king named Harnakash.After a long devotion to loadr  He was given a gift from Lord Shiva that he will not be killed inside or outside. He could not be killed by a man or by an animal. He could not be killed in daytime, or nightime he could nt be kill on land or sky and no any weapon could ever kill him

.He became a cruel ruler and made everyone chant his name instead of Ram (God).  His own son Prahlad refused to chant his name, but rather he always chanted on Ram. Harnakash made many attempts to have his son killed, but every time the child was miraculously saved. He became even more angry and had a pillar lit on fire with a huge flame. He told Prahlad "You don't chant my name like everyone else, you say that God is in everything. Well if God is in everything than God is also in the pillar. Go over to the pillar and give it a hug if it is also your God." Prahlad made a prayer to God "Oh, my beloved, please save me. You are in my heart and I am always with you." Prahlad, with his pure faith, went over to the white hot pillar and gave it a hug. By divine grace he wasn't burnt at all, and hearing the prayer of this devoted child,

 God assumed a form and burst out of the pillar.  God Himself took form and suddenly appeared on the scene. Half man and half lion. The lower part of His body was that of a man, but His head, chest, and arms were those of a lion. God in the form of a lion, grabbed Harnaakash and put him across His lap. He then said, "Harnaakash, do you know who I am?"

"Yes Lord."
"Answer my questions. Is it day or is it night?" 
"Neither, oh God, it is dusk." 
"Are we inside or outside?"
"Neither, Lord, we are on the threshold of the palace." 
"Is it land or sky ?" 
"It is in between, oh Lord."
"Am I a man or an animal?"
"You are neither, oh Supreme One."
Then with His huge claws, Narayan, God as the man lion, killed the evil King

I've always come to a realisation that life brings us a lot of new things to experience. it depends on how we take it.. it could be a huge challenge or maybe a surprise as well..  we humans want everything to be as perfect as how the water in a river flows.. However, in reality it is not that way.. why??
